I am very behind on my blogging! I am still trying to catch up from October. Zack said just to scrap all of these posts, but I couldn't! I know you all want to hear about what I did- better late then never!
For Halloween we always go to Amber Foxx's annual Halloween Bash! She has a lovely home, is a great hostess, and all of our friends attend! It is always a highlight of the year.
I am featured in this 2012 calendar, so I bought an extra one to giveaway! This calendar was made by Ambitious Misfit Photography using real women in B movie posters. The photos and design work are amazing! So, I thought I should share it with you!
Hillbilly Fest 5 was in October and I am just now getting around to posting about it, I am so behind in my blogging!
We look forward to this event all year because there is nothing like it! Last year they didn't have Hillbilly Fest, so this year was even more exciting! This year the event was held at Joe's Great American Bar and Grill again.
A few weeks ago I received my order from Nicole Katherine Designs in the mail and I waned to make sure I share it with you all! I won a giftcard from her in the Ventura Nationals Car Show this summer and I knew I wanted to use it toward this outfit because I had been eyeing it forever!
I love this top with the puffed sleeves, sweetheart neck line, and big buttons down the front!
You must excuse me, as I am about 3 months behind in my blogging! But, these are still good topics, so I will just keep truckin' along and hope to be caught up by Christmas!
I wanted to let all of the locals know that Joe's in Burbank is now hosting a Rockabilly Night on Wednesdays! I know it's hard to get out on a weeknight (and they always stick the rockabilly nights on the weeknights) but they start and end these weeknight shows earlier for the working stiffs. So, you may be tired the next morning, but it is worth it to support the music. Also a bonus- they are free!
So a few weeks ago we went to see such a show on a Wednesday night- Roy Rapid and The Rhythm Rock Trio from San Diego. It is rare they make it up to our neck of the woods, so we know we had to go out and support them. I know I have talked about them before, but they really are a talented group of young men! They put on a great show so I recommend you see them if you ever get the chance.
I have posted about the ring #1 and the dress #2, and today I will be telling you all about #3- The Cake!
I haven't been able to catch you up on all of my wedding planning, but to make a long story short, things have changed! We are still having a destination wedding/elopement, but decided to have a reception a few weeks later back in town. But, more on that in another post.
So, in some ways, I get two weddings now! For example, two wedding cakes- one for the two of us after our ceremony and one for the reception. Even with this change, I wanted to make both cakes myself to save money.
For the ceremony cake I want to make a mini two tier cake with diamond print fondant, sugar pearls, and.....
